A message from the owner, Bea Travis:

The Beahive is located on a spacious and beautiful farm in southern Indiana. I am dedicated to raising healthy, well-adjusted Bullmastiffs. I became interested in the Bullmastiff after much research into the breed. I was looking for a gentle giant, a guard dog with a harmless personality. The bullmastiff fits this profile perfectly.

After finding many backyard breeding programs, I discovered that there is not enough attention given to the health issues of the dog. As a dedicated breeder, with the guidance of experts, Tuan Brooks, Lynn Spohr, and longtime handlers Bill and Cathy Martin, I started a breeding program. I developed a breeding program that emphasizes health, structural soundness, and temperament, which brings forth dogs with good conformation.

All of my Bullmastiffs, in the breeding stock, are AKC Champions. Current dogs in my breeding program are Tsumo, Blues, and Snort the males and Paddy, Piggs, Millie, and Grace the females.

I have about one litter every other year. I am in the breeding to better the breed, not to make money. I got my first dog in 1991 from a back yard breeder. He had some health issues I didn’t want to pass on in the breed. However, he was a fantastic example of Bullmastiff temperament and was a loyal friend.
